Less than a year after starting our rehabilitation work at our first Jardin Comunitario our volunteers did a first harvest of fast naturally grown food.
Have you ever tried a dish made with sweet potato leaves?
They are edible and delicious. We had ours sautéed with plenty of garlic and fresh ginger.
Other dishes included breadfruit fries, green banana chips, mixed green salad and an oregano and lemongrass tea. Best part?
All ingredients were grown and harvested from the Community Garden!
